"To most the word “immortal” seems appealing; to live forever without the possibility of aging. However how many people know the consequence of being immortal? Sadness, loneliness, and an ever-lasting hunger are just a few emotions we immortals feel. Oh yes I forgot to mention that the hunger comes from being vampires. What human in their right mind wants to be immortal if it means dying? Believe me, you would be surprised. I was one of those people –someone who craved the need to stay young forever. Had I known that there was really no ‘fountain of youth’ or crap like that I would never have followed him, that handsome young man who promised me everything I wanted."

French Quarter (4 sub-boards) The French Quarter, also known as Vieux Carré, is the oldest and most famous neighborhood in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. When La Nouvelle Orléans ("New Orleans" in French) was founded in 1718 by Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville, the city was originally centered on the French Quarter, or the Vieux Carré ("Old Square" in French) as it was known then. While the area is still referred to as the Vieux Carré by some, it is more commonly known as the French Quarter today, or simply "The Quarter."[1] The district as a whole is a National Historic Landmark, and it contains numerous individual historic buildings. It was relatively lightly affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The Quarter is sub district of the French Quarter/CBD Area. Moderator: Lithian

Baton Rouge The capital city of U.S. state of Louisiana. It is located in East Baton Rouge Parish which contains 429,000 residents. The Greater Baton Rouge population is approximately 790,000. The city itself had a population of 227,818 at the 2000 census.
Baton Rouge is located in the southeast portion of the state along the Mississippi River. It owes its location and its historical importance to its site upon Istrouma Bluff, the first bluff upriver from the Mississippi delta, which protects the city's residents from flooding and other natural disasters. In addition to the natural protection, the city sports a levee system stretching from the bluff southward to protect the riverfront and the southern agricultural areas.
Baton Rouge is a major industrial, petrochemical, and port center of the American South. The Port of Baton Rouge is the ninth largest in the United States in terms of weight. Moderator: Lithian
